Rebecca Jeffery has been been booked to offer African stories and dance to St Helen's Primary School in Abbotsham, Bideford, North Devon, to kick start their African arts week on Wednesday 20th January 2016. This will include all year groups and also a teacher's session to give them tips on teaching dance. Last year, she offered taster sessions to all year groups at Yeo Valley Primary school, Barnstaple during their Africa week, on 2nd March 2015. Children and staff were thrilled with the fun they all had learning village traditional earth and rice harvest dances.
Rebecca also spent a day at St Georges C of E Infant and Nursery School, Northam, Bideford, teaching African village and hunting dances to year 1s, 2s and reception year children, on Thursday 26th March 2015. This fun day ended in a performance to the village community in an effort to raise funds for a nursery school in Kenya. For types of packages, look at Andigwa Dance workshops and dance page.
