I was born in Zomba, Malawi, and learned to dance in Malawi and Zambia, where I later lived. In England I train intensively with African dancers such as Badejo Arts, Gabs Maboungo of the Congo, Isioma Williams of Nigeria, amongst others, and in Zambia, I refresh my dancing with the Kaloko Trust dance troupe.

I have choreographed, taught and performed African dance for over 15 years. In the last five years I have conducted over 190 arts and dance projects including story telling with dance and live drumming, costumes, masks, African textiles and food workshops.

I perform African dance with live drummers and musicians or recorded music. I teach, choreograph and lead dancers with Energia and Samba Sol samba bands, at carnivals and festivals all over the South West.
